According to legend and our local historian Joe Gionti, the Williamstown Fire Compang was formed by a group of men in 1909. It was later recognized by the Township of Monroe in 1911. Here is a copy of the minutes of Monday September 25, 1911. This was the first meeting as an official township fire company. This was copied from the minutes book and processed by Ed MacDonald
